On tap at Lanesplitter in Berkeley, CA. It pours a hazy straw with thin white head. The aroma is odd spice yeastiness, sugary malts, tartness and mild banana. The taste is big banana and mild bubble gum followed by hints of lemon and then honey. Smooth and refreshing. It isn’t nearly as sweet as similar offerings, which I like. A terrific hot weather brew.

Draft. If only all witbiers held these same qualities. Good-looking hazy yellow brew. Complex, but smooth palate. Lemon/clove, but also a fairly heavy hand with the hops, as I came to expect with the Russian River product.

On Tap at the BP. Hazy very light straw colow with a silky thick white head and lots of persistant lacing. Light malt and big belgian yeast aroma and flavor. Soft creamy feeel. Nice.

On tap @ the brewery. I really wasn’t a fan of this one. It poured a hazy lemon yellow, with citrus and clove aroma and taste. It was bitter and a little odd. Maybe I just don’t get it because it has an 87 rating, but I won’t try this one again.

Very cloudy yellow. Aroma is strong wheat and spice notes for such a light beer. Relatively big flavors for a very light beer. Light tartness, light sweetness, light carbonation, easy to drink. Nice wit.

Draft at the brewpub. Poured a cloudy yellow color. Head was bubbly, white and left some decent lace behind. The aroma and flavor were typical of a good wit beer with yeasty bread dough, orange peel, and coriander elements accented by a light citrusy bitterness.

On tap at Russian River. Cloudy deep yellow with no head. Aroma of orange, banana bread, cloves, and yeast. Bready citrus taste, spice, and a yeasty finish.

Draft. Very murky amber beer with a low whitish head. Low spice aroma. Corriander, orange, yeast flavor. Medium body. Lingering corriander and yeast.
