Feb 18, 2009 Draft @ Toronado on RR night. Mahogany with golden hues, translucent with a thin and quickly disipating head. Aroma of dark fruits and yeast, sweet malt. Very nice flavors of red fruits, vinous almost, with molasses and toffee, maybe even a taste of tobacco leaf and vanilla. Very smooth, hiding the alcolhol perfectly. Great beer.

Feb 17, 2009 Draft. Pours a deep amber hue with a thin white head. Nose is bready with some dark fruit. Flavors follow with the dark fruits coming through with some nice sweetness. Was advertised as a barley wine at Toronado, I can see it being either. Mouth was a little metallic at time, I would blame that on my palate more then the beer. Nice mild carbonation.

Feb 17, 2009 On tap at Toronado for Barleywine fest ’09. Solid, not surprisingly considering it’s from RR. Dark, somewhat cloudy brown color. Aroma is dark fruits and sweet malt. Flavor of caramel, toffee, bourbon, port, brown sugar, and a little earthiness. Nice smooth and fairly full mouthfeel.
