Attractive roasty chocolate aroma and flavor. Medium bodied and dry on the tongue with a smooth nitro mouth feel. Good stout. BeerPrince (1701), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 24, 2007 On tap. Dark brown body with light foamy head. Nitro smooths out the body but kills a little of the flavour. Roasty with some chocolate and espresso. Nothing strong or rich but a nice flavourful dry stout. pivo (2537), Germany

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 26, 2007 On tap at the brewery. Aroma is roasty with a coffee bean and chocolate combo that’s incredibly interesting. Appearance is black, black and just a little more black with a thick tan head. Flavors are all melded together so well, it’s nice to drink a stout that doesn’t make you feel like you swallowed a watermelon. Creamy smooth with a nice bitter finish that reminded me a little of a good espresso. ChillCoat (1029), Concord, California, USA

Rich chocolate aromas with some burnt coffee notes. A very smooth, dry stout with chocolate, coffee, fruit and maybe even a bit nutty. Crisp, dry finish. A great beer. aspidites (1274), manteca, California, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 21, 2006 tap at the brewery - Pours dark brown to black with a nice thick head. The aroma is roast malt and the flavor has that good maltiness with some coffee notes. It’s a little light for a stout, fairly good overall but not great. marcus (1895), Sacramento, California, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 26, 2006 On tap at Russian River Brewery. This dark brown ale poured with a generous creamy head. The flavor is initially malty, with a long chalky finish. A decent stout, but not one of the brewery’s better efforts.
