On tap at the brewpub on 6/30/09. Pours nice dark brown, with little reddish undertones. Not much going on in aroma, but only hints of coffee and pine. However, very well balanced with great dry coffee finish.

On tap at the brewery. Pours black with a creamy beige head. Medium bitterness. Aromas of toasted malts and coffee. Also aromas of very dark chocolate. Light bodied. Very soft carbonation. The finish reminds me of very dark chocolate.

Pours a dark brown/black. Nose is roasted malts, some coffee, some earthy hops and tasted bread. Flavor is nice burnt malt, roasty caramel sweetness, some earthy grain and slight hop presence. Beautiful creamy mouthfeel. Finishes dry.
