hopdog (4657), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 26, 2005 On tap at the Drafting room in Exton, PA. Poured a lighter golden color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas and tastes of citurs, with some light pine. Light maltiness in the finish. Starts medium bitter and ends lightly sweet. Lacing left on the glass.
imadeadguy (163), From NJ, now in Clovis, California, USA Oct 15, 2008 Pour is a light golden with small white head. Aroma strong of piney hops. Flavor is dry with pine, sweet malt, and some citrus. It lives up to its name and its a great brew. smashteroid (157), USA Oct 15, 2008 This one was a truly intriguing beer. Served cold from a bottle. Dark gold pour with a small white head that leaves good lacing. The aroma was described by someone as a "citrus bouquet", it was definitely rich in pine and citrus hops. It tasted unlike any beer I’ve had, very complex and refined. Flavor was heavily hoppy with some malts to balance it out, but the finish is nice and bitter. Very cool beer. Highly recommended. caesar (2597), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands Oct 14, 2008 Tap @ RR. Clear golden color, short head. Strong aroma of pine and grapefruit. Very bitter taste, but still elegantly smooth. Perfect balance for such a smack-in-the-face doube IPA. killjoy966 (100), USA Oct 13, 2008 Pours a less-than-appetizing straw-colored yellow with a quickly receding head.
Smells delicious, like straight-up hop flowers. Could use a tiny bit more
carbonation, but otherwise, I have nothing but praise for this beer. I would
drink this every day if I could. colemgm8 (388), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA Oct 12, 2008 bottle. purchased from South Bay Drugs... pours a dark golden w/ 1/4" white head which lasts throughout at a bit smaller size. wonderful aroma of piney hops. big full body which is incredibly soft over the tongue. really fresh hops dominate the beer with some other citrus fruit notes coming through as well. full of pine / grass notes. resiny feel on the back of the palate and a long bitter finish that lasts all night. incredible IIPA... lives up to the hype and deserves it all.
