Citric fruity flavour of honey and red berries. Smooth rounded taste of citrus and brown sugar. A bit watery finish but very pleasant. Sonicdescent (374), Donora, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 15, 2009 Fantastic beer. I had to trade to get this one, and it absolutely lived up to expectations. Cherries, apples, and love are the secret to this one’s success. jsh12bama (335), Alabama, USA Feb 14, 2009 Batch #3. Pours orange with thin white head. Aroma of sour cherries, vinegar and oak. Love the funky nose on this one. Flavor is very sour with cherries and apples with a long, tart, dry finish. Tons of brett in on every sip. These sours are growing on me everyday. This is very good!! blipp (1631), Newark, New Jersey, USA Feb 8, 2009 Bottle, batch 003, about a year after bottling. Pours orange with an off white head. Tart fruity aroma with rhubarb, cherry and a touch of brett. An initial fruity tartness gives way to oak, brett, and must, followed by a dry bretty finish. Pretty good, but maybe would be better with another year or so of aging. aplusbreaks (330), , Colorado, USA Jan 30, 2009 Bottle shared by BlackForestCO.
