paytoplay (122), , California, USA Jan 28, 2009 Batch 3 375ml bottle. Sourness is big, tight and some tannin. Felt this needed to age for 2 or more yaers to really shine. Still super complex, though to drink because of the sour, the super long finish, and wrapping your head around what you are drinking. Great texture, sharp acidity, funk and fabulous! Very much anticipate other bottles years down the road. arrogantb (695), Denver, Colorado, USA Jan 10, 2009 375ml batch 003 thanks to DRINKNDRIVE thanks man. I took the cage off this sucker and admired the label, bad idea. The cork blasted out of the bottle with a fury and I was scrambling for my snifter as this precious beer began spraying my kitchen counter... The label says this is a brown ale but it sure looks orange to me. The smell leads me to believe this will be very sour. I can smell some oaky-woodiness and a wine like smell but not really any funk or must. The first sip I took was very meager and still exploded in my mouth hitting one side of my jaw with sourness and then leaving a cherry note. The smell keeps drawing me back with an interesting note they makes me think I have either had this beer before (GABF?) or it is very similar to another sour? This beer also coats the mouth very well, despite the tiny carbonation bubbles, which leaves a flavor that seems to evolve after you swallow. The flavor also reminds me of sour candies, lime pixie sticks (do those exist?). This is an excellent beer and perfect for those who enjoy sours because this is a serious mouth puckering beer.

Batch #003 bottle poured into a snifter produced a finger worth white head that went to a good layer of lace. The body of the brew was interesting reddish brown/ amber, if that’s a color
Aromas of sour cherries are really evident. Nice wood aromas as well as wonderfully funky yeast. It reminded me a lot of a Rodenbach
Flavors of a dry white wine and sour cherries this stuff is great. Light, crisp and dry in the mouth
Drinkability on a sour is a strange question; yes its drinkable but how much sours can one take. I’m glad I decided to crack this one open tonight I have been really missing the sours and it was easy to finish this bottle of myself HonkeyBra (1270), Lemont, Illinois, USA Jan 9, 2009 Updated: Jan 16, 2009Bottle, shared with CaryTheDude and JakeBra, who hooked me up big time with this one. Pours a dark orange with a fizzy head. Aroma is dusty, funky, with wood, cherries, citrus. Flavor is a rush of sour cherries, deep sourness, citrus. Incredible flavor. JakeBra says its like "a really good warhead" and I agree. Mouthfeel is wonderful, bringing a rush of saliva. Incredible experience. Thanks, Dude and JakeBra!. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA Jan 9, 2009 Updated: Jan 13, 2009Crushed with Jakebra and Honkeybra. Excellent sour. Sourness, awesomeness, and cherries. Flavor is subtly beautiful. Saliva glands gushed about ten seconds after the initial swallow and kept on going. Could drink this one all day every day. So good. Slayer85 (582), Firenze, Italy Jan 7, 2009 375 ml corked bottle. A cloudy dark golden/orange beer with a quite big and persistent white head. The nose is complex and attractive, acidic and maltier than expected, surely yeasty with notes of wood, earth, cherries, some lemon. Like in beatification the oak is perfectly integrated. The flavour has a medium sweetness and a high acidity. Some wine like feelings. Citric but less than Beatification and with a more round and consistent body. Cherries sre detectable in mouth too. Medium body, lively carbonation, long finish with light to medium bitterness. Again a great beer, amazing aroma and great flavours balance. I’m happy to have tasted such a rare beer. Complex and complete. KimJohansen (6676), Copenhagen V, Denmark Dec 30, 2008 Clear amber with a medium off white head. Aroma was sour with sour berries and cherries, barnyard and wood. Flavour was sour with plenty of sour cherries, banryard, brett, wood and leather notes. Fucking awesome!8 kosko20 (302), Bemidji, Minnesota, USA Dec 30, 2008 Aaaah wow the aroma is perfect. It makes me smile. Sour funk, spice and cherries with a vinous aroma. Flavor has a nice funk to it with brett, cherries, and wine...also a bready funkiness aftertaste. Palate...sour and wonderful...very nice beer and Andrew (BMan1113) had to rerate it to a better level even.
