Foam gushed from the bottle upon upening, but poured a nice clear copper-brown. Aroma is sour cherries, apples, wood. Flavor is absolutely fantastic! Wine, oak, sour, brettanomyces. This is really really nice! k4df4l (154), DTown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jun 4, 2007 Bottle - poured a murky ruby with a slick of foam. Aroma dominated by sour fruits and slightly musty but no funk. The flavor is immediately sour with a pronounced cherry tartness that gives way to light flavors of oak/vanilla, yeasty spice & brett vinous notes. Sammy (3976), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 19/20 | Jun 2, 2007 Expensive and unusual, this is not for anyone not appreciating tartness. White head on a golden body. Strong aromas, wine and cherry and wood. Complex taste of wine, cherry, wood. Balanced by malt, and while sour is not aggressive on the palate as I wouod expect. A sipper. Up there with the Cantillons but a top beer because of its similarity to wine?

Pours a clear glowing amber with a beige head. Nose of sour grapes, apples, oak, and brett. Whew that’s more sour than i expected. Grapes, pears, earthy, all around tart and oaky. The acidity is a little too much at times but this is a great beer. Big thanks to andrew for sharing this. MadIndian (992), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA

I don’t like flemish sours and this one doesn’t change my mind. Too bitter for my taste. It’s just not for me. I wont totally kill the ratings. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA

Thanks for letting me crash your little tasting guys! Neat orange rust pour - thin slick white head. Love that colour! Really strong aroma - sour, cherry, cherry skin, vanilla, leather - complex and stunning. Taste is sour, acidic, almost a little wine like. Very quenching. No alcohol. Complex. Maybe just a tad too acidic after a while. A pretty stunning beer. axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | May 24, 2007 Gushed...Cloudy orange/brown with a rocky tan head. Musty nose with some oxidized red wine notes. Flavor had just the right sour/funk balance. Finished like a freshly opened Chianti. Lovin’ the sours!!
