illinismitty (1790), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Apr 20, 2007 Bottle from Ross. I had a very shitty day, and I no longer enjoy my job. Kids and wife are asleep, SERENITY NOW! Pours deep reddish amber with pourous off white head. For an unfiltered beer, this has a lot of clarity. Aroma is very pleasant, with notes of cherries, brett, oak, and red wine. Soft mouthfeel with fine carbonation. Initial flavor of sour cherries that transitions to an oaky middle. Finish is tart and dry. Some acidity and yeast flavors linger slightly on the palate. Man, this hit the spot. Vinnie is a great artisan brewer that creates complex beers that are not "monster" beers. I really enjoy the softness or subtleness of them. Ross, I ’ll take another..........bitch. beermonk (4), USA does not count Apr 20, 2007 One of the top five beers I ever tasted. Complex, but not cloying. The finish seems to go on forever. I get the brown ale, the pinot noir infused cask, the sour cherries, the pineapple scented brett...this is amazing beer. A great food beer - maybe fresh fruit and shrimp kabobs on the grill basted in this beer. Better yet, the cook should be basted in this beer. MI2CA (1260), Noblesville, Indiana, USA Apr 19, 2007 Sample at Indy tasting Hotshotz - Aroma is funky brett, cherry and oak. Pours murky brown with a small head and good lacing. Flavor is sweet and sour with the brett hitting first followed closely by the sour cherries and a touch of vanilla. Palate is smooth and tart. This is a fantastic brew. JK (2945), Richfield, Minnesota, USA Apr 19, 2007 Shared by Milkmandan. Excellent and hard to get any better than this. Light brown color. Aroma has yeast and smells very sour. I can smell the cherries but not the wine. Flavor has sour cherry. This is very sour even for the style, and delicious. Light oak character in the finish. Excellent. zathrus13 (1288), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA Apr 18, 2007 Pours cloudy brown/orange. Aroma is musty, with wood, and fruit. Flavor is sour cherries, oak, and a little vanilla. Nice body, and a relatively long, sourish finish. thanks to dirty martini for this one. zebracakes (1214), Washington DC, USA Apr 18, 2007 Shared bottle thanks to CMUBEERMAN. Pours hazy cider orange with spotty salmon and tan colored head. Aroma is funky, musty bleu cheese, sour tangy apricot. Flavor is super sour, hint of cherry, wheat. It’s so sour that it has a bite. Watch out. padrefan98 (787), (San Diego) Santee, California, USA Apr 18, 2007 Purchased bottle at O’Briens. Batch 002. Shared with two other friends. This was the first in a side by side comparrison.
