| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 20, 2007 Bottle at the Stone brewpub. Pours an orange red with a very light, white head. Smells pretty acidic with light citrus fruit and cherries. Pretty big sour taste as expected. Cherries are definitely detected throughout. Kind of mellows towards the finish which is pleasant because the front is so strong. Just a great brew from an awesome brewery. railcat1 (578), Orlando, Florida, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 19, 2007 Pretty decent. Color is a hazy orange. Aroma is pure sour beer...no fruit...much like a gueze. Flavor is sour with a bit of milky dryness. Mouthfeel is not quite as dry as most sours. moejuck (1165), Ohio, USA
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Mar 18, 2007 I so love flemish sours...Aroma is of sour mixed berries and comes wafting from a glass that contains an extremely murky copper colored brew. The palate is full and carbonated perfectly for the style. Taste=Wow. Woody, sour cherries (not overpoweringly sour), and vinuous flavors combine to create a really wonderful brew. This is my favorite from Russian River. Cheers to Vinnie! iowaherkeye (1847), Bakersfield, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 18, 2007 12.7oz bottle, Batch 002 from Hollingshead Deli. Pours a cloudy orange caramel with a 1/2 finger fading beige head. Aroma is quite sour with brett and sour cherries, strawberries, oak and a good red winey characteristic. There is also a bit of brown sugar, though the sourness dominates. Taste is very sour as expected with the oak and wine shining through very well. Flavor has a good amount of tannins showing up in the dry mildly bitter finish. Reminds me of the Panil quite a bit. Medium body with moderate carbonation--hooray that it’s not too fizzy for once. This beer is sour. SUPER sour. Very dry as well. Not much else to say about it. I neither hated or enjoyed this beer. drewbeerme (2272), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Mar 17, 2007 375ml bottle from RR online. pours a hazy orangeish red with an off-white head that stuck around longer than most sours i’ve had. nose has wonderful brett to it works very well with sour cherries, lots of oak, and subtle hints of yeast and pinot. flavor is very oaky and bretty, sour, cherries, and pinot rounds the beer out. not as watery as other RR sours seem to me. easily my favorite RR i’ve had yet. well done Vinnie!
