Bottle, with ClarkVV and Sully. Beautiful stuff. Hazy deepish orange/amber. Aroma is sour and oaky, slightly wild, citruc, berries and oak. Beautiful mouthfeel and flavour. Juicy, acidic, sour, yet quite smooth and refreshing. Lightly caramelly malts also noticed, but this is more about the bret characters, and that wonderfuly vinous, oaky, juicy cherry character (or characters as it were). This was very well balanced, and something i really would like to try again. Fantastic.

This beer pours an amber cherry color with a thin uniform bubble head that is sustained by a few little bubbles from the bottom. There isn’t any lace as the head just slides down the side. Smells strongly of oak with a bit of cherries, mandarin orange, raisins and a pungent chemical smell. The flavor is at first dominated by oak, but then transitions into a delightful wild cherry and sour milk flavor and then finishes with a clean oak that left my tongue tingling. The mouth feel is light to medium with a smooth carbonation. This is an awesome sipper. Definitely give this a whirl.

Poured a slightly murky amber brown, medium head. Nice sour cherry aroma with some vinegar. Palate wasn’t thick, but there was plenty of flavor - sweet fruits, raisins, sour cherries - a little puckering tartness, and all encased in an oakey layer. Finishes dry and then you want some more.

My favorite from Russian River. Fantastic sour cherry aroma. Flavor of cherries and vanilla with plenty of sourness create an unbelievable delight.

From a 375. Beer is a hazy, medium-bright copper with a little ring of white sandy seamonkeys hanging out in the bottom of the snifer. Head is average, white, frothy, mostly diminishing. The aroma is much like a FSA, but with a lot more earthiness: Malty with light notes of toasted grain, caramel; Hoppy with a moderate-to-heavy note of herb, lemon zest; Yeasty with light notes of horseblanket, trace of band-aid/plastic beach ball ; Miscellany contains a heavy note of vinosity, moderate-to-heavy notes of cherries, sherry, raisin/date and oak, trace balsamic and allspice. The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately-to-heavily tart/acidic with a long, moderately acidic/tart/dry, lightly sweet finish. The body is medium, the texture is velvety and the carbonation is lively. Another winner!

375ml bottle. Damned beautiful glowing bright amber color, crystal clear, with offwhite head that fades quickly. Sour fruit and vinegar nose, with sharp aromas of tart, sour cherries, tart apple, rotten grapes, and a vinegar quality similar to red wine gone bad. Flavor is very well balanced sour fruit over a nice, crisp, light malty beer, with nice hints of the pinot and subtle tart cherry. Sour funkiness sticks to your tongue and cheeks in the finish. Quite nice, and I like how light it is, even at the 7%.

Bottle (courtesy of cquiroga, as always) into Duvel tulip glass (the best tasting glass ever). Dope beer. Uniformally hazy ruby grapefruit color with yeast floaties in suspension. Medium to small off-white head diminishes to a thick ring and surface dusting. Brittle sudsy lace crumbles and slides leaving a ring around the glass; racing is deep, slow and plentiful. Ripe cherry smell is wonderfull, enhanced by a crisp lemony acidity and spiderweb brett aroma, with a little ginger. Crisp and lively up front, medium body fills the mouth with flavor, becomes light and spacious right before the swallow. Lots going on in the flavor: sour apple and cherry predominate at first with a biting woodsy/alcoholic tang (from the barrel, I guess) that dries the beer out just a bit but retaining the mouthwatering acidity. The flavors in the finish take on a lighter, melony quality, like honeydew and watermelon, without the sweetness. An acrid bitterness in the finish seems a bit untutored, and detracts from the overall impression; it comes on a couple seconds after the swallow, lies on top of the soft melony flavors, and then gets drowned in a resurgent acidity which is nice, so it’s not really a big deal. Also, I wish the cherry were a bit fuller, but I like the balance of fruity and earthy qualities. A sour, balanced beauty.

Hazy orangey brown with lots of head. Some nice caramelized malt aromas, with something funky, barn like brett and cherries. Flavour was much similar to a flemish sour ale, as there is cherry and acidic sourness.
