Bottle, batch 002, thanks to TexasJeep. Pours red-orange with fizzy beige head. The aroma definitely betrays the pinot noir barrels-- plenty of berry and oak notes, as well as a rich vinous character; there are also wafts of lactic sourness and a touch of earth. Taking a sip, the sour acidity is much more apparent. It cuts through a mild cherry flavor with some oaky notes and some distant hints of fleshy fruits. The finish is very dry, with some earthy notes and a berry aftertaste. Lively, sharp carbonation goes well with it, too. Great beer.

courtesy of shig. Pours cloudy amber/orange, no head. Aroma is a big sour bomb, tart fruits Taste is sour. Some fruits come across as tart, medium carbonation with a light tingly spicy wood mouthfeel.

Bottle at RBESG Grand Tasting 05. Hazy light amber, with a ring of head. Sharp, tart aroma - cherries and lemons. Very good sour ale - fruit in the initial taste, tartness to finish, just short of mouth puckering. Good balance of sweet and sour. Excellent.
