Many thanks to Foolish_Mortal and herbjones for sending me bottles of this brilliant elixir!

Rating #900
Pours a brilliant cherry and rusty orange/brown body. A wispy cap of ivory foam sits atop. The aroma is raw yet tantric. Some sincere notes of oak, aged balsamic, sour cherries, leather, pressed red apples, and green grapes. The flavor reveals a wonderfully rounded sourness. The cherries stand out a bit more and the yeast presents itself with a wild doughy flavor, yet there is a biscuity malt backbone if you search for it. The palate is wonderful and the beer is set of with a sparkly champagne like effervescence. This is craftsmanship at it’s finest! A very enjoyable beer that never hits too wild or sour!

Red-orange in colour with a few floaties, and strong carbonation. Aromas of mild sour cherries, old wood, balsamic, and leather. Intense sourness blends seamlessly with the mild fruit (cherry and a bit of citrus) and light malt flavors. More oak in the mouth too. Tart finish. Fantastic stuff. Huge thanks to oakbluff for sharing this one.

375ml bottle. Pours dark orange with a fizzy white head, some lace. Smells sour, a bit citrusy (lemons), and barnyard funky. Tastes sour and lemony and a bit woody with grapes and funk on the finish. Medium body, vibrant carbonation.

Bottle Batch 3 from miketd. Pours murky brown, dissipating head. Nose is big and soft, lots of vinous type notes. Cherries are still vibrant in this one. Funky and sour nose. On taste, this is how to do a cherry sour. Softened acidity. The oak comes across to prop up the cherry notes. This is really a more refined version of the Cascade Sang Royal. More nuanced and pretty deep. Exceptional.

Crushed with Jakebra and Honkeybra. Excellent sour. Sourness, awesomeness, and cherries. Flavor is subtly beautiful. Saliva glands gushed about ten seconds after the initial swallow and kept on going. Could drink this one all day every day. So good.

Tasted @ beer school Tria, hosted by Tom Peters. Poured a hazy golden color with a good amount of head. Nice tart flavor with a lingering finish.

11 0z Bottle via RR bonus (thanks Vinnie!). Pours a clear reddish amber with an average sized beige head. Nose is sour apples & cherries. Wow this is one sour beer, the sourest i have yet had from RR or anyone for that matter. It starts tart, with some sour apples, and ends tart with some sour cherries that have oak overtones. High carbonation. Medium body. This is one funkadelic beer!

TAP---ohhhhh man .....this is a beauty..... very similar to cuvee de tomme without the alcohol. Very similar flavors. I was drinking a few stronger ales before and thought this was a little light, but as it warmed up, it was very nice. The yeast wasn’t as dominant as say a geueze, with a light funk funk lingering, and more of a brown Belgian than an experimental brew like cuvee. still......a treat.
