| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 5, 2008 Wow! Like a punch in the mouth, this one gets you in the back of the jaw. It made us all pucker up. Aroma is very reminenicent of a glass of wine, but the flavour is all about lemons and a syrupy sweet feel. I’m happy to say I tried this one, but I’m not sure how much of it I could actually drink leaving me wondering if I can actually give it a high rating based purly on surprise. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 30, 2009 Bottle pours a dark orange-amber, with thick, pillowy beige head. Nose of sour cherries, chocolate, caramel, black tea, oak, pralines. Drinks with a juicy sourness, just a touch of fruity sweetness in back of the throat. Light-bodied and well attenuated with certain lambic leanings. Cherry aroma is notable but subdued. Mouthfeel only lightly lively. Goes a little dry but I wish it was drier. Overall it’s terrific, tart, and begs for serious consideration and serious cheese. Juelze (901), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 24, 2008 Pours an amber color with medium off-white head that sticks the glass in gobs as it’s consumed. Aroma is sour with notes of oak, tart cherry and barnyard. Taste is tart cherry, oak, sour yeast and barn yard. Intensely sour and incredibly well made. Thanks for my bro for sharing this! nimbleprop (894), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | May 17, 2008 Several 2oz samples at the Savor Craft beer event in Washington D.C. Deep amber, purpley color with a thick, lacing white head and nice, tight, small bubbles. Aroma is stunning, citrus, candy, musty funk, sour grapes, and grass. Flavor is just as good, cherries, grapes, sour ripe fruits, and some slight acid. Funny thing is, even with all that going on you can still taste distinct brown malts and a nice grain backing. Finish is sour, but smooth and extremely drinkable. This was getting raves throughout the crowd and was the class of the tasting. danielcurtis81 (890), San Diego, California, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | May 19, 2009 GNBO. Bottle, Batch 003. I was excited when I found this at the store and wanted to try it immediately so I put it in the freezer. We all know that anything put in the freezer gets forgotten for the night and found just after it is too late. The cork blew out but the cage hung on and held most of the beer inside. Once it warmed a little I got to enjoy it. Pours a beautiful red hued deep brown. Nose is full of cherry and oak. The carbonation jumps out of the glass and tickles the nose. Sour cherry flavors, warm oak, some red wine notes. Mouth is well carbonated, full, and sour. Excellent brew. This is my first sour and I can see how people can get hooked on these. Worth the higher price tag. Would love to get my hands on some more of this gem. ogglethorp (887), Ohio, USA

Amazing mouthfeel, soft and silky, fireworks on the tounge, amazing stuff. There is a complexity that eludes words. Great stuff!!!! | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 8, 2008 Updated: Apr 2, 2009batch 003. Brown pour with a thin off white head. Aroma was mild cherry and a bit of funk. Flavor had more cherry, lemon, funk. not nearly as acidic as I thought it would be.
UPDATE, old score fresh = 3.6. Opened one recently and it had gotten nice and sour, and the lemon had really started coming out. The funk was spot on, not dominating but making itself known. REscored 4/2/09
