Apr 22, 2007 Bottle courtesy of irishboy. Pours a rusty amber color with a smallish beige colored head. Aroma is brett, cherries, oak. FLavor is sour cherries, oak, yeast, grassy, pale malts, vineous. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, starts on the sweet side, finished tart. Amazing mouthfeel, soft and silky, fireworks on the tounge, amazing stuff. There is a complexity that eludes words. Great stuff!!!! Wonderful sipping beer.

Jan 26, 2008 Poured into a goblet. Orangish amber color, off-white head. Carbonation is champagney, effervescent and lively.
Smells beautifully sour. Oak and cherries come out in the background but overall this smells very acidic and tart.
Sweet red fruit fights for its life but the tartness takes over. Notes of cherry, wood, wine grapes, vanilla, brett. Bone dry finish. Great complexity here and a great combination of flavors.
Delicate body, carbonation like champagne, very smooth and bubbly. Clearly a beer to sip but it’s very rewarding as it evolves with warmth.

May 8, 2008 Updated: Apr 2, 2009batch 003. Brown pour with a thin off white head. Aroma was mild cherry and a bit of funk. Flavor had more cherry, lemon, funk. not nearly as acidic as I thought it would be.
UPDATE, old score fresh = 3.6. Opened one recently and it had gotten nice and sour, and the lemon had really started coming out. The funk was spot on, not dominating but making itself known. REscored 4/2/09

Dec 14, 2008 Wow. An amazing beer with a ton of different flavors. This is an elite brew. Smell is musty, funky, sour, tart, fruity and everything else. Taste is all of the above, and then some. Take a bite out of a lemon, then suck on a handful of pink colored Sour Patch Kids and you will get a feeling of what this is like. So sour it will leave a funny feeling in your mouth. Fantastic brew.

Mar 18, 2007 Im trying to keep an open mind on these sour beers, and to be honest, im beginning to stomach them better. less sweet than some other flemish sour ales I have had. This beer is sour. SUPER sour. Very dry as well. Not much else to say about it. I neither hated or enjoyed this beer.

Nov 30, 2006 Light ruby-gold body with a light head. Sweet oaking in the aroma. Some earthy tones, apple and citrus with a nice ending.

May 7, 2008 Updated: Aug 26, 2008Finally getting used to sours. The aroma is all Brettanomyces. Pours a copperish red with lots of initial head, which recedes quickly. Flavor is sour with a sour apples flavor, with the Brettanomyces yeast permeating the flavor completely. Not as sour as Beatification, mellower than most sours. A good starter sour.
