Wow this beer was complex. They did a number of different things to get this beer to taste so great. Pours a deep amber light brown with an ok head but fades to nothing. Aroma is a mix of sour cherries, sweet cherry pie, lots of funkiness from the brett, some oak, red wine, and a wierd citric sourness. Flavor is very much the same with even more oak becoming apparent along with more cherry as it warms. The sour cherries and pediococcus was a great combination.

(Draught) Sampled at the Belgium Comes To Cooperstown 2005 in Cooperstown, NY. Pours a dissipated yellowish head with an amber body. Nose of a flemish sour with cherries. Tart flavour and stubble spiced. Another excellent Russian River brew! (8/4/8/4/16=4.0). Re-Rate (750ml bottle) Sampled at the post-GCBF tasting hosted by Oaked, "Big Beer Sampling". Crazy cherry gueze. Brown sugar. Sour, fun Fuzzy Peaches with a sour vinegar finish. (8/4/7/3/15=3.7)

Draught at Toronado, SF Hazy amber. Medium white head. Sour(ish) aroma with fruitiness. Really sour flavour. Rubber and diesel; more like a geuzue.

375 ml bottle batch 01 poured a clear reddish copper with a small lasting creamy amber head. Aromas of sour cherry, vanilla, oak, leather and a hint of carmel. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of light soup cherry, vanilla, oak and hints of carmel and coconut with a lingering tart finish.

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, tupalev & biegaman -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Batch 002. Pours a cloudy ruby-orange with tiny floaties and a small diminishing white head. Amazing aroma is funky and yeasty along with spices, oak and cherries -- nice and complex. Flavour of tart cherries, yeast, some oak, spices and more -- wow, this is so easy to drink! Medium to full bodied. One of the best versions of the style I’ve had.

GABF ’07. Pours hazy tawny with an average, frothy, off-white head, lasting with good lacing. Aroma is average malt (bread, caramel, hay, straw), average hops (flowers, citrus), average yeast (earth) with notes of cherries. Medium bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

Thanks to egajdzis for this one. Poured a cloudy orange amber with a small lacing head. Aroma of the Pinot Noir from the barrels it was aged in. Taste is similar with some tart cherries. Great taste, picking up the cherries with a nice tartness at the end.
