Taste is tart at first with sour cherries followed by brett (horseblanket), finishes dry. 7/3/7/3/17 #002 Bottle. Thanks John. Wonderful tart cherry, wood, lacto, all in perfect harmony and just beautiful. Cherry, wood, vanilla, nice tartness and fruitiness. The flavor is well integrated, no flavors overpower any other. Score went up quite a bit. Crosling (1856), Loveland, Colorado, USA

I’m savoring every drop. Californians have it lucky if they can get this when it’s on the shelf, or even on tap. A wonderful cherry sour taste. Lovely. Pretty close to perfect. Pours hazy muddy orange, with off white film that fades to ring of bubbles. Aroma hits you right off the bat, can smell this at arms length. Tart lacto aroma with alot of oak woodiness, faint cherry in the background. Wood tannins and cherry up front, fade to tart brett/lacto kick. Wood character gives a dry finish. Unlike most flemish sours, this has almost no acidity. Very well balanced. Mouthfeel very soft, slighty oily. Well done!! Thanks for the re-rate Joe!! wnhay (722), Princeton, New Jersey, USA

A bit foamy because the damn thing exploded. Aroma was just terrific with cherry, banana, vinegar and red wine. Very tart taste with sour cherries, toffee, vanilla, butterscotch and banana bread. Citrus and tangerines work great on the palate. Fantastic. UselessGdTaste (363), Long Beach, California, USA

Stunningly complex, deep, and tart while almost being addicting. I wish that it would be produced more often and was more available. One of the best beers I have ever had the luxury of trying. Shimmering light orange-strawberry red with a very thin fine white head. Tart aroma with red berry fruits and cherries. Sour flavor with light cherry fruit and a perceived slight "tannic" edge and vinous fruit and earthiness. Slightly fuller body than the airy fruitiness might originally suggest with the alcohol sidling in near the end. A great effort; an excellent achievement.
375ml bottle sampled 03/08/09 with about a year of bottle age. Happy birthday Amy. Aroma posesses more animal characteristics and additional tartness for a greater overall complexity. The flavor is also quite tart with less overt fruit characteristics and more of a general sourness with animal and aged nuances. The body is bright and lithe with a lot of dimension--really mouth puckering with good presence and superb balance. Magicdave6 (5558), London, Greater London, England
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 9, 2008 Bottle thanks to wetherell! Aroma is sour, dusty funky yeast, cherry character is subtle and as it warms the oxidisation kicks in and is awsome. Taste is similar, very lambic like, perhaps this woul be perfect if there wasnt so much bitterness(of which there is very little) but the bitterness that is there is slightly falts the finish. But im just being pernicity, its an amazing beer, and probably beer of the month.
