Beershine (2677), Hue, Vietnam May 10, 2008 Updated: Aug 3, 2008Bottle, thanks to Oakes. Brett fills the air after the cork pops. Loud fizzle, pop, a flurry of joy. Lemony, dry, not sour, impeccably clean finish. Love in a bottle.
Cloudy, bright yellow-orange with frothy off-white head. Total orange rind candy. Light, air-filled mouthfeel. Total tartness with lingering finish and lots of nuance. Citrus sorbet in a glass, pithy and good. railcat1 (578), Orlando, Florida, USA May 10, 2008 I love sours and this one is at the top of my list with a nice flowing taste of sour fruits and a sweet yet tart finish vey well done,i am cleaning out me cellar when i ran across this and enjoyed every last drop.CHEERS! Magicdave6 (5383), London, Greater London, England May 9, 2008 Bottle thanks to jjk2635389hdgd! Arom is very noteable white wine, like a full bodied funky tart madira wine. Taste is similar, the oak is key, very maderia white wine like characterists, but with shear raw drinkability. pepsican (883), The Student Ghetto, Iowa, USA May 8, 2008 003. Orange pour with a thin white head. Funky tart aroma. Oak was a big part in this, but some fruit and lemon as well. lots of acidic tartness really added to the complexity. This was very good. cloudskipper (12), Alameda, California, USA May 8, 2008 As a sour fanatic, Temptation is a favorite of mine and something I enjoy each time I open a bottle.
Batch 003. Gushing a bit as I opened it, a good sign to me. Poured with a healthy head that evaporated fairly quickly. Scent is sour, though not quite as sour as the other RR BA Sour offerings. Taste is complex, balanced, with a nice kick of Brett to see if you’re paying attention. Some woody tones in it but a great smooth mouth feel.
If you have the opportunity to get some, do it. You won’t be disappointed. LinusStick (1830), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA May 7, 2008 Another outstanding sour from RR. Aroma was nice and funky with a hint of vinegar. Pour was a nice murky gold with a one finger off white head that left quickly. Taste was nice and sour, though not as mouth puckering as the Supplication. The oak comes out more in this one, though. Funk with a biting yeastiness in the front with the wood and sourness coming out and shining in the aftertaste. Great carbonation and acidic dry finish. DarkMagus (433), San Jose, California, USA May 3, 2008 Rating #400. Pours a beautiful clear-golden color with a thick, sticky white head that Mouth-watering sour apple aroma with some musty, funky, and slightly sweet elements, with maybe even a hint of some dried out hops. The flavors are immediately funky, sour, and fruity. Some very complex earthy, woody notes, that dried-out hop character, (but very slight). Light carbonation, soft, bubbly, silky mouthfeel, A very nice beer, well-balanced, and complex. fg8080 (37), San Diego, California, USA Apr 26, 2008 Batch 03,,This beer pours with a gigantic head, taste like it smells, lots of sour apple and chardonnay. Really dry and not worth the 10 bucks.
