Looks kind of like a tripel. Sour earthy aroma with a little acidity. Tart fruitiness up front. A little bit of graininess. A hint of sweetness on the back of the throat. Mildly sour. Fairly well balanced between the sour and yeastiness. A little bitterness in the finish. doubleo (1104), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 21, 2008 375ml bottle. Pours slightly orange yellow with a thin white head of super fine bubbles. Head is resilient and leaves a good amount of lace. Smells citrusy and sour, lemony. A little funk in the nose as well. Tastes sour and citrusy, but its more than just citrus. Can’t put my finger on the flavors though, lemon I guess, I’ll leave it at that. Just a little bit of straw/funkiness in the flavor. Medium body, vibrant active carbonation. Effervescence and color of a glass of Champagne with the head of, say, Duvel. Nose is tart and sweet at the same time, with a touch of oak. I love the complexity of the flavor. It starts out quite tart, but under lying sweetness that soon takes over to produce a very nice mid and finish. Great mouthfeel. Smooth yet at the same time lively on the tongue. I think this one is the most interesting of Vinnie’s sours. brianprentiss (473), Portland, Oregon, USA

Aromas of sweet and sour citrus and yeast. On the palate it is silky smooth. Flavors abound of lemon, pear, apple sourness and not overpowering. The flavors stay in your mouth for an extended amount of time. Incredibly tasty and yummy brew. Ramenen (454), San Salvador, El Salvador
