| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 21, 2009 Bottle with thanks to Kan. Pours a massive head with a little bit of cloudy gold liquid at the bottom of the glass. Aromas are fabulous... a lot of sour and funk (lemons, barn, oak, maybe some white pepper or something, etc.) Flavor is more of the same, with lots of oak and funk and lemon. It’s pretty light on the palate with lots of carbonation and refreshingness. Yum! hellbilly (1532), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jan 4, 2007 Courtesy boboski. Deep orange in color, slightly hazy, sparse thin white head. Aroma is fantastic - reminiscent of a lambic, but has a sweet, less aggressive edge to it. Palate is medium to thin which makes this very drinkable. The sourness is present in the taste, but is not overpowering. The sourness combines with oak flavors and finishes dry. A unique, drinkable beer. DSG (1513), Tel Aviv, Israel

Bottle. Batch 003. Cloudy golden color with a white head, one of the largest I’ve ever seen. Lovely aroma of barnyard, citrus and light leathery hints. Wonderful refreshing sour flavor with some white wine character, lots of fresh fruitiness, a bit of citric juice and brett... Mmmm... Brett... Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Just great. 8/4/8/4/17=4.1 jasonp (1510), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA

Aroma of white wine, light brett/funk, champagne, lemon and slight alcohol. Pretty dry. Flavor has notes of wood, champagne, lemon, grass, hay, some brett, sourness, sweetness and grapefruit. Ends with a touch of saltiness and citric acidity. Medium bodied with moderate, spritzy carbonation. Very complex and well-put together. And made by an American brewer, very impressive. Aroma of funk and sourness. Flavor of oak (very similar to oak-barrel aged Captain Lawrence beers), sour gueuze-like notes, sour apples. The oak is present but not overpowering and balances nicely with the sour notes. Has a strong palate to mesh with the oak barrel. Nice finish. Excellent beer.
