Much of the sour notes one woudl find on a gueuze without as much funk. Head was light, color was golden yellow. A real tartness on the mouth, sour apples, tart grapes. Like matinelli’s cider without the sugar. Mouth feel is light and effervescent a bit like champagne. Tast profile finishes dry and clean with a touch of yeast funk. Quite an interesting brew. Strong musty cellar, oak and barnyard aroma. Flavors of vinous and lemon fruit with strong oak and barnyard musty earth. A very refreshing taste here with a mildly sour acidic finish.
