The flavor was slightly weet with a great funk with wood, citrus, and vingerar. it had a great balenced, sour finish, and i sat enjoying this one for a good long time. A great brew. I only wish this was on tap all the time. gotbeach (136), San Diego, California, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 7, 2008 Bottle (750ml) shared with tupalev, swoopjones & rudolf -- courtesy of swoopjones. Batch 001. Pours a hazy dark ruby with an average size white head. Aroma of funky yeast, oak, citrus, other sour fruit and spices -- it’s so funky and sour! Flavour’s oh so funky along with some wood, caramel malt, tart fruit, light spices and vinegar. Medium bodied. This is very well made but there’s no way I could drink a whole bottle, I don’t think I could drink half a bottle, it’s just so intensely sour and acidic. Still, shared 4-ways, I enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing Mike! luckygirl (1221), Boulder, Colorado, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 4, 2008 Bottle shared by swoopjones with myself, Rudolf and Blankboy (thank you Mike!!). Dark ruby, small white head. Sour aroma, nothing too strong but pleasing. Good taste - sour again, but an interesting sweetness kicks in half way through. This sucker gets a lot more complex as it sits - I went from thinking it was ok to loving it at the end, especially with the subtle bourbon and vanilla hints. Lovely stuff and a unique creation. puzzl (2619), New York, New York, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 3, 2008 Bottle split with some people. Very buttery, oaky aroma, perhaps too much so, with a touch of sour peaches. Flavor is much more pleasing, lots of sour, horsey funk, cherry and apricot. A definite alcohol burn in the finish is surpising for a beer like this. Could be less big and perhaps bump up complexity and sourness. A bit dominated by oak, but still a delicious beer. rudolf (1758), Buffalo, New York, USA
