Bottle shared by beastiefan2k: Great glowing deep hazy copper with a dense/tight tan head. Aroma is fresh brett, tannins, fresh cherries, dried oak and some cider notes. Complex. Silky texture. The brett comes through beautifully giving it a sour cherry pit character, with a funky swiss cheese hint as well. Yeasty, earthy undertones give it a dried wood touch and some leather notes in the background. Refreshingly tart everywhere with deep complexity. An outstanding Sour Ale!

Bottle shared by beastiefan2k. Cloudy reddish-amber coloured brew. Aroma is intense, sour and funky with a strong leather character. A touch of cherry and lots of woody sourness. A bit of vanilla and herbal character. Vineous and dusty with a hint of stone fruit. Dryish finish with lots of lactic sourness. Leathery and sour. Awesome brew. Classic RR beer.

(750ml Bottle) Pours a lightly hazy amber body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of wood, cheese, wet leather, light cherry, apple, and vanilla. Flavor of funky sourness, oak barrel, and sweet malt with a nicely carbonated, dry finish.

GABF 2007: Poured a copper color with a light haze and off-white head. The aroma had a great yeasty tart funk to it. The flavor was nice and sour with a good amount of acidity. Yeasty, woody, and leather.

Tart, sweet aroma. Pours a murky red. Sweet with sour finish, but smooth. A tasty brew. Surprised its classified as a belgian strong, thought it was a femmish sour.

GABF 2007. The beer pours to a hazy gold body with a dense creamy light khaki head. The aroma is wheaty with tons of specialty grains and generic tartness. The flavor is tart. Like a weizenbock with rye and other odd malts. Blended pretty nicely. Tart medium body with a nice texture and carbonation.

A fantastic oak aroma and flavor on this one. A lot of "wine country" influence in this beer. Vanilla, sherry like, woody, cherries, prunes, and just the right amount of tartness. Some earty musk in there too. Yum, Yum, Yum!!
