Bottle shared by eclectic at BCTC. Thanks so, so, so, much Kevin! This was probably my most wanted beer on the site and boy did it live up to my expectations. Pours dark reddish brown with a small off-white head. Nose is heavily funked and oaked, with some nice dark fruits, layered malt, and just so complex I can’t do it justice. Flavor is delicious funk blended with mild quad-like flavors so perfectly. This is probably the best russian river beer I have had and that’s saying a lot as I rate them all pretty darn high. Don’t know if I’ll ever find a bottle of this stuff, so I can’t thank Kevin enough for being so generous to share it with me. An awesome final beer of a great Belgium Comes to Cooperstown experience. Is this the perfect beer? For me, at this time and place, it was and is.

Simply put....a perfect five. Sherry amber in clour, applesauce, champagne, slight funk thats barley noticeable. This is the greatest "blended beer", I’ve ever had!

Thanks to Odeed for getting this one at Toronado at RBSG. This beer just rocked it, and I had just had Cable Car right before, so it had some big shoes to fill. This turned out to be the beer of RBSG for me, just brilliant. Tart cherry nose, woody and acidic. Funky and delicious from start to finish. Hints of cheese, plum, bretts, and grape, blended with wine barrel. Really outstanding and one of the best beers I can remember having.

Bottle shared with friends and family at a tasting party we had. The beer poured a nice amber color, clear, with a solid head that gave way to a solid ring on the edge. The nose had some funky notes, refreshing. The taste was an excellent mix of sour, tart but also a strong Belgian strong ale presence. After this beer warmed up a bit, more complex tastes came out and just added to the pleasure of drinking this fine beer. Out of all of the RR beers I love, this one is right at the top and if I had a few more bottles, it would probably be on top.

Bottle shared by my boy LeopoldStoch back in the day. Blood red pour with minimal head. The aroma is sublime with lots of sourness, some oak, and hints of berries. Perfect smooth body with the exact amount of carbonation needed. The flavor is sour--but not puckering. Solidly tart flavor with lots of sweet cherry notes, oak, lemon, and a bit of raisin. Incredible brew.

bottle from Toronado SD at $60! Cloudy medium brown with a fluffy white head. Sour apple, oak, and Brett. aroma. Tangy palate. Sour caramel apple, vanilla, red wine, and oak with a dry finish. A damn fine beer.

Funk and sour and fruit in this lovely orangy small headed beer. The flavour is really wonderful with a bunch of fruit and sour and funk and everything else. Chewy palate full of flavour, nicely complex. I’m not doing this justice but trust me, it is good.

A fantastic oak aroma and flavor on this one. A lot of "wine country" influence in this beer. Vanilla, sherry like, woody, cherries, prunes, and just the right amount of tartness. Some earty musk in there too. Yum, Yum, Yum!!
