Brown with off-white head. Aroma of malt and yeast. Flavor is sweet of cane sugar and caramel. Tones of dried fruit. TBone (4975), Pori, Finland Jul 27, 2008 Bottled as "Børglum Kloster Abbedens Dubbel" (BB 04/2010)
Hazy nut brown color, small steady creamy beige head. Dark fruity - plum - aroma with light grainy notes. Caramelly, plums and kandy sugar. Some alcohol and yeast. A bit raw, propably needs some cellaring. sayravai (3048), Helsinki, Finland Jul 26, 2008 (Bottled, "Børglum Kloster Abbedens Dubbel") Very hazy red-amber with a small head. Aroma of caramely malt, sweet toffee graininess, slight sourness. Sweet, caramely-toffeeish flavor with some grainy-vegetably hints. Medium to full body with medium carbonation. Too sweet and grainy-sugary for me, but otherwise ok. dunkpigen (276), Kolding, Denmark Jul 14, 2008 Bottle. Pours hazy dark orange with a little brownish head. Sweet malty aroma and flavour with pruins, raisins and spices. Ole_R (1194), Oslo, Norway Jun 13, 2008 500ml bottle as Børglum Kloster Abbedens Dubbel, provided by Beer_2000, thanks mate! Murky brown, nice little tanned head. Bubblegum and Belgo-yeast up front, light sweet, light toasted malts to follow. Taste is inviting, has an appropriate sweetness from dark malts and dark dried fruits and a mild and gentle hopbitterness. Well-bodied. Some acidity in the finish. I really like this one.
