Bottle. OK malty aroma, slightly vinous. Clear, dark brown colour. Quite malty flavour, some dust, a little vanilla. Not too shabby.

A Mes rate: bottle at Chris O’s Post GBBF Tasting.
Rich amber brown with a clear red hue and a thin beige head. Heavy caramel aroma with a big oaty hit. Nice chocolate in the flavour, loads of caramel, slight oxidisation and plenty of dried fruit. Very christmas like. Note bad.

AAlborg version, a good though not best Danish beer. Pours dark, its bocky, its the more recent version. Aroma is a bit of chocolate, spice, and alcohol. A hint of head and lace in the appearance. Average mouthfeel, it’s smooth drinking. I would seek out a bock with less spice but more mouthfeel and simple taste.
