Commercial Description:
Awarded a Silver Medal in the World Beer Championships in the Amber Ale category for 1998, this is our flagship ale. It has a nutty malt flavor which is balanced by a citris hop flavor and a classic ale fruitiness. We distribute this ale on draft and in bottles throughout Northern & Central New York.

Filthy sour malt flavor, watery, yuck! Not a good amber ale at all. Just put this one down....the drain that is.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a light brown color. Little head that leaves a small lace. Smells nutty, malty and tastes a little orangey. It is a nice little beer.

Clear amber with no real head. Smells of cheap yeast and sour malt. Tastes cheap and almost skunky. Just very blah to me. Unimpressive.

Bottle courtesy of davehoward. Thanks!
Pours a very light amber. Transluscent with a small short lived head. Smell is light and just a faint maltiness. Taste is thin, lightly metallic and standard maltiness but very lightly so and with a light flavorless hop bitterness. Very thin and simple. Drinkable with no off flavors, but more of a gateway craft beer, I’d say.

From a bottle poured dark amber with very little head. Nice hop flavor, a bit watery with a decent finish.

Pours a medium/light brown with moderate head. Smell is not bad - bittering hops and malt. Flavor is more of the same, but greatly subdued. Mild caramel, mild bitterness. This mouthfeel. Decent and refreshing, but too watery.

Copper pour, lasting white head. Malty aroma with a bit of nuttiness and grain. Not quite medium bodied, slightly creamy, lightly carbonated. Malty taste, herbal and grassy hops, medium bitterness. Long finish. OK.
