| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 28, 2007 Draft, 1812 amber at Harry’s, Tallahassee FL. A very nice amber, about as good as the style can be. Featured a grassy peppery hop (Britishy) with a mildly caramelized bready malt with a medium mouthfeel. Reminded me of fresh Bass Ale to a degree. Clean presentation, fresh. Good partner to food and good for sessions. hopson (595), Williamsville, New York, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 25, 2007 draft- served extremely cold, and in a frosty mug which kind of tainted this rating a bit. regardless, an extremely generic tasting beer, with some bitter hop character, but none of the citrus flavor it advertises. Pick up a thousand islands pale ale from this same brewer. georgekappus (296), Brookfield, Connecticut, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Sep 21, 2007 Bottle. Pours a deep amber with a small quickly gone head. The aroma is of cherry and cloves. Taste is sour and dry not appealing. Tastes like a supped up Budweiser. PorterPounder (3145), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 1, 2007 Tallahassee, Fl - Publix Supermarkets - 12 oz bottle. Light coper pour, slight off white head. Neutral aroma, hint of fresh lake water. Pretty bland flavor, hints of muted fruitiness, some subtle bitter notes, smidgen of biscuity sweetness, caramel notes. Smooth mouthfeel. Overall, does in a pinch - just not overflowing with flavor. Good to see some new entrants on the supermarket shelf but we can do better than this, can’t we? | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 10, 2007 Poured a clear effervescent amber with a fizzy large white head. Aroma of lemon, floor cleaner, perhaps a bit of toastiness. Flavor is very light and consists mostly of some toffee, a bit of butterscotch, and a bit of hoppy dryness that really doesn’t carry any hop flavor. Overall inoffensive but bland. A beer that goes out of its way to avoid risk-taking at the expense of having any real discernible flavor. Dickinsonbeer (3494), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 3, 2007 Pours a mostly clear light copper with a thin white head. Aroma is toasty, light diacetyl, and some caramel. Even more bland flavor with some toast, nuts, caramel and hints of hops. Relatively clean but finishes pretty bland and abrupt. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 28, 2007 Slightly cloudy, copper in appearance. A nice frothy head. Not much aroma, if at best, somewhat floral. Slightly hoppy, but indeed it is very malty. Thin body, easy to drink, but no complexity. Honey and floral notes in the finish.
