Feb 24, 2007 Unremarkable but quite pleasant with barbecue at Blue Smoke in New York. Hazy golden amber, moderate white head. Good balance of malt backbone, lightly bitter American hops, and a floral note. No real complexity or intensity but worked will with the food.

Oct 25, 2006 Sampled at Real Beer Expo (Rochester). Bottle. Deep golden colour and minimal, off-white head. Candy, sweet nose. Med-low carbonation and med. mouthfeel. Not much flavour until swallowed, then cereal, a little malt (crystal malt).

Oct 20, 2006 Muddy amber appearance ; small, off white head; little lacing. Muted aroma of whole grain bread and caramel malts. Bready, sweet malt taste with a hint of oats and a mild hop presence. Lingering, slightly gummy finish that I find too often in amber ales.

Sep 22, 2006 This is a pretty good beer. A cloudy dark amber in the glass with a large, off-white, tight head that slowly faded. A robust malt flavor was followed by the hops which were not bitter. Good balance, nice lingering aftertaste.
