Orangy clean body with off white slightly orange head. Bitters on the side of my tongue nothing substantial for me though. Refreshing palate subdued hop floral flavour. GTown (126), New York, USA

Light orange/amber in color with a quickly disappearing white head. Fruity and dry flavor, with some sour apple malt. A little too watery too make it above average. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 14, 2006 Bottle (12oz). As War of 1812 Ale Amber. Slightly cloudy reddish amber, golden on the bottom, average diminishing white head. Almost non-existent dry straw and light orange juice aroma - noseful of nothing, really. Taste is sweet, grainy, a little dry - just not much there, it goes down easy but has no character. Mouthfeel is quite watery, fairly flat - forgettable. Boutip (2397), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 28, 2006 Bottle: Poured a medium copper color ale with a huge slightly off-white head with average retention. Aroma of sweet fruity malt with some discreet bitter hops. Taste is very light overall with some sweet malt and a light bitter finish. I’ve seen worse amber but still, this one won’t go down in history. zach8270 (2135), Henrietta, New York, USA

Bitter hops and some sweetness in the aroma, but mainly bitter hops. Some sourness as well. Flavor begins with a strong taste of sweet malts with a sour and boiled vegetable taste with a bitter and hoppy finish. Some grass and grains throughout, but mainly sour and vegetably. Eh. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | Feb 12, 2006 Amber colored with a small white head which quickly recedes. Aroma is sweet and malty, with some apple fruitiness. Flavor is dominated by cloyingly sweet malts, with a mild hops spiciness that does not pair with the sweetness very well at all. On the positive side, it had a nice carbonation level and a nice medium body to it. However, I found it difficult to finish the pint.
