Sacramento Brewhouse Lager

Clean lemony notes in the nose. Light grain. Pale golden pour. Light bready flavors, crisp and soft hop presence.

On tap. Clear deep golden with a creamy off-white head leaving laces. Aroma of malt and butter. Medium body with sweet malts, a whiff of flowery hops and hardly any bitterness. 130709

From tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy and golden yellow with a small white head. Light butterish and malty aroma. Butterish and malty flavoured, light citrusy hops note. Ends mild bitter.

Draft at the brewpub. A hazy light golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of straw and brewmash. The flavor is sweet with notes of hay and brew mash as well as light notes of malt, leading to a lightly bitter finish. Boring.

Growler. Pours a typical gold-yellow with a large fluffy head that slowly collapses. Aroma is weak, but there is some floral element to it. Maybe a pinch of fruit. Flavor: Yup, it’s a pale lager alright. No detectable hops. Weak, sweet, corny flavor. Mouthfeel is watery. Overall, poor to fair.

On tap at the brewery. This clear yellow beer poured with a thin white head and a faint grass aroma. There is a crisp clean flavor with some banana ester.

Draft at the brewpub. Dark gold color with a decent white head. Mild pale malt aroma with some fruity hop. Near medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor is rather grainy, but there seems to be both fruity and grassy hop notes. Finishes a little bready, and not quite dry - seems to be like a German (not Bohemian) pilsner.
