The shame of it all is that I only get to this neck of the woods about every other year. Great beer, malty, robust, and a decent hop bite.

Floral scent. Beautiful amberness. Well-balanced but light malt/hop blend with mini-after taste. Understated. Good.

~Pours a dark reddish brown color with thin white head. ~Nice biscuit malt scent, normally dont care for this scent in beers, but this one is nice. ~Biscuit malt taste, light hops, nice balance. ~Medium feel, good finish. ~This is a good amber. I really like the ambers from this brewery.

Malty and full bodied. Very well rounded mouthfeel, with a mild eartht acidity. caramel and mild roasted malts. A very lite smokiness. Hops are well hidden and indistinct. Clean finish with some lingering crytal malt.

A dark amber almost brown appearance. Some caramel and nutmeg in the aroma department. The flavor is quite sweet for an amber with some toffee, caramel, and nutmeg. The aftertaste was sweet/sour. This was more like a brown ale to me. Overall it was ok.

On tap. Clear orangey brown with a creamy beige head - nitro style. Sweet burned caramel and nuts in the nose. Medium body, very sweet roasted malt and burned caramel. Basically no bitterness. 130709

Draft at the brewpub. A deep red-amber beer with a lazing light tan head. The aroma has notes of nuts, malt, and caramel. Thej flavor is sweet with notes of nuts, caramel, malt, leading to a sweet nutty finish.
