The aroma is surprisingly light - of grass and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of grapefruit, malt, hops, as well as a touch of butter(?), leading to a bitter finish. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 25, 2009 Tap at the brewpub. Clear amber with a little tan head. Warm malty aroma covered by floral, resin and citrus hop. Medium body with mild carbonation. Feels very soft and lush. Certainly more bitter than sweet, but the finish is a soft, non-harsh bitter. Yet the mouth feels nothing much except bitter. Very nice and hoppy indeed. bb (2930), Martinez, California, USA

Light sweet malt. pours amber with a thin head and decent lace. Pine and citrus, some sweet caramel and bready malts. Big bitterness in the finish. Lots of pine and dank resins. Leafy. Some sweetness comes in as it warms. I liked this one.
