I’m drinking it out of a Bruge Zot glass brought back from Belgium...this doesn’t meet the demands of such a glass. hayduke (1677), Eureka, California, USA

I drank it but had to order a second without the lemon so I could rate ti. It was golden yellow, and had only the slightest cloudiness being almost clear with a whtie head and minimal lacing . Nose was banana and somewhat sour. Mouthfeel was medium and flavor was yeasty, banana,. and cloves. Finish a little sweet but nice. A very good rendition of a German Hefe. Clove and banana yeasty aroma with some slight sweetness present. Typical for style, and does not really stand out in terms of aroma. Moderately hazy pale golden color with a small, virtually non-existant white head. Bartender put a fucking lemon IN the sample. Ugh. Grainy, cereal malted flavors to start, which turns a little yeasty with banana esters. Finishes with a long and toasted maltiness. Not overly flavorful or aggressive. Pretty forgettable. sailor (1), California, USA does not count | 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Apr 2, 2006 This beer is more like a dessert, it’s nose is nicely effective. Crunchety good looks with the right turbidity presents a very nice first impression. Not overly thought out in the brewer’s brain just stickin’ to less is more. Less in this case lands in the realm of hard to tell it aint from Munich. We enjoy this repeatedly with overripe lemons right from our tree, a perfect mating. I’m drinkin’ this in any season. marcus (1902), Sacramento, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 29, 2005 This wheat beer was very nicely hopped, resulting in a more substantial flavor than many other wheat beers. The added lemon wedge was unnecessary, since there was already a citrus taste. aspidites (1274), manteca, California, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 8, 2005 I do not like a sharp clove in my Hefe’s, and this beer avoids that. Dominant bananna aroma and rich body. Slighlty watery body, but good on a hot day. Hold the lemon please.
