Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 17, 2009 On tap. Pours a clear deep golden with a creamy off-white head leaving laces. Citrusy and piney hops in the nose. Medium body, a light fruitiness and a distinct, dry hoppiness that leaves a solid hop bite. In my version only 90 IBU. 130707 yespr (11645), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 26, 2009 From tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy to hazy yellow/orange with a small white head. Ungstrup (14754), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 13, 2009 Draft at the brewpub. A hazy golden beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has strong notes of hops and grapefruit. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of hops, grapefruit, and hay, on a medium malty back ground, leading to a bitter finish. bhensonb (4187), Woodland, California, USA Jul 6, 2009 Current descriptor on the board: " Double IPA. Pucker UP!"
Tap at the brewpub on 7/05/09. Current ABV on the board was 7.4%. Pours a hazy copper amber with a decent white head. Citric hoppy aroma. Grapefruit flavor. It’s smooth, but bitter. Gets more so as the hop attacks the mouth. It’s lushly floral, citric and bitter. Did I forget to say it’s bitter? Well, it’s bitter. DYCSoccer17 (2187), Davis, California, USA Oct 9, 2008 8 ounce sample on tap at the Rubicon festival for the Boys and Girls Club. Piney, grapefruity with the classic C-hop nose. Lightly sweet and herbal. Very aromatic and quaffable. Transparent orange-honey body with a frothy off-yellow head. Nice malty, sweet, chewy start with some piney, spicy, and grapefruit hop flavors. A little herbal/spiciness is present later on with a warming finish. Really good stuff. marcus (1826), Sacramento, California, USA Aug 6, 2008 On tap at the brewery. This clear copper ale poured with a thin beige head. There is some serious hopping over a smooth malt base and a very bitter finish. This is a well-crafted brew.
