| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 4, 2007 Tap: Impressive for an amber ale! I thought it was an IPA. It is brown with red tints and a firm off-white head and sticky lacing. The flavor is hoppy with a bit of a tinny thing following it. The aroma is light piny hops and lots of weeds and hay. Not bad at all. hayduke (1674), Eureka, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 1, 2007 From a 22 oz bottle, this left the biggest head I have ever seen. Difficult to pour as it kept foaming out of the glass. After 10 minutes of work it was finally ready to drink. Nose of citrus malts and caramel malts. Medium mouthfeel and a taste of malts and hops, but fairly mild. Sweet finish. Decent amber. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 24, 2007 Bottle: Dark amber pour with a modest sandy head. Nose is hoppy with citrus and florals, light maltiness. I like the flavor of a hoppier amber, this has a nice resiny pine and citrus hop presence. Enough caramel malt to balance out. Nice amber. exadore (92), Sacramento, California, USA

Disappointed due to volume left afterwards. Nevertheless, nice, dark red, with an interesting flavor for an ale. Has a nutty-hoppy aftertaste. I look forward to giving this beer a second chance. marcus (1901), Sacramento, California, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 13, 2007 On tap at the brewery. This red ale poured with a thin off-white head. It starts right off with a sharp hop flavor over a strong malt base, then a citrus finish. Drinkable but not remarkable. bb (2930), Martinez, California, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 30, 2007 Pours brown with an off white head that leaves good lacing. Smells earthy and like pine with some sweet malt maybe caramel. Tastes like peat, earth and has a pine finish. Leaves that dry hop flavor in your mouth afterwards.
