Botte: Light amber gold color with moderate carbonation yet very retentive head and lots of lacing. Nose of sprouts and vegetal hops, light earthy caramel malt and nutty characteristics. The flavor is dusty with lots of caramel malt and a pleasant hop background. The mouthfeel has a full body and a solid finish but the nose is a bit out there for me to really enjoy this to its fullest.

Aroma of apple! and malt. Amber color with extremely frothy white head. Starts with lightly sweet malt. There’s an earthy, grassy, herbal bit. Finally a little hop, but not enough to balance the malt. Substantial mouthfeel, a bit of wet paper somewhere, and I think this bottle may have gotten away from them.

Medium copper color, medium head. Mild malts, nicely hopped. Nice taste, slightly bitter. Good flavor. Finish is smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter, with a touch of sweetness.

Musty malt aroma. Medium amber. Nicely, lightly hopped. Bit light on the tongue. Average.

Good beer, nice hop aroma along with the nice malt sweetness to balance out the flavors, to bad I can’t get them in AZ. But was in The neighborhood a few months ago.

Bottle. I picked up one of their 1L bottles from the brewery at the end of June. It was bottled on 6/9/03. A deep amber color with a thin tan head at the start and basically no head toward the end of the bottle. Rich and malty in aroma and flavor. Slightly sticky, dry at the finish, and malty all the way through.

On tap at the brewery. This copper ale poured with a generous white head. The flavor is dominated by caramel malt, but there is a slight hoppy bitterness at the finish.

Bottle from BevMore in Sacramento. Poured copper to amber with a very foamy white head that reminded me of soapsuds. Left good lacing. Nose of sweet malts with some hops and flowers. Mouthfeel average with nice flavors of malts and hops. Nice bitter finish.
