Caramel, slight diacetyl but otherwise neutral fermentation characteristic. Nothing distinctive, but a good balanced ale. Oscbert (552), Sacramento, California, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 8, 2003 Bottle. I picked up one of their 1L bottles from the brewery at the end of June. It was bottled on 6/9/03. A deep amber color with a thin tan head at the start and basically no head toward the end of the bottle. Rich and malty in aroma and flavor. Slightly sticky, dry at the finish, and malty all the way through. DrunkAsASkunk (847), Lynnwood, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 21, 2003 Fairly nice, fairly basic in its design and mouthfeel but worth another try. It poured a cloudy brownish orange color with absolutely no head, but noticable carbonation on the sides of the glass. The aroma was a masked malt and grains. The taste is malty upfront with a slight hoppy ending, definitely dry and subtlely sweet given the malt character. Some evidence of a citrus character...slightly orangey, like a nice vitamin....hahaha!!! Very tangy aftertaste combines with the sweetness to make for a very smooth drink. Simple but nice. beerguy101 (3971), Newark, California, USA

Good flavor. Finish is smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter, with a touch of sweetness. BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 12, 2006 Botte: Light amber gold color with moderate carbonation yet very retentive head and lots of lacing. Nose of sprouts and vegetal hops, light earthy caramel malt and nutty characteristics. The flavor is dusty with lots of caramel malt and a pleasant hop background. The mouthfeel has a full body and a solid finish but the nose is a bit out there for me to really enjoy this to its fullest. hayduke (1677), Eureka, California, USA

Poured copper to amber with a very foamy white head that reminded me of soapsuds. Left good lacing. Nose of sweet malts with some hops and flowers. Mouthfeel average with nice flavors of malts and hops. Nice bitter finish.
