Commercial Description:
This is one beast of a beer you don’t want to mess with. We brew our Sac-Squatch Scotch ale using smoked peat malt to produce an extremely roasty, big bodied, high alcohol ale (7%abv). So tangle with this creature if you must, but don’t blame us if you feel a little furry in the morning. When putting hair on your chest just ain’t enough.

Bottle, smoky-malty sour taste. One of my least favorites of the style, probably due to the smoked peat moss. Nice color, decent head, disturbing flavor, extremely dry finish.

Bottle. Aroma of roasted malt, smoked peat malt (like a smoked beer), and maybe a little chocolate. This flavor is pretty nasty; sweet and nasty. My mom said that it tastes like dirt. I think that alexanderj purposely gave me this nasty beer.

Has a very strange flavor, one of the most unique beers around. It smells better than it tastes. Notes of roasted cherry? plus caramel and some kind of tart dessert.

Light brown body with tan head. The aroma is very smokey, caramel, roast and floral. The flavor is fairly sweet, smoked, meaty, caramel and vegatable. Medium body with soft carbonation.

Bottle. Rich brown beer with a tan head. Rich malty aroma with some caramel. Malt flavor with backing hops. Slight citric sourness. Slight peat. Medium-light body. LIngering malt. More hops than expected.

12oz bottle, courtesy of artusory. Thanks, Ryan! Pours a clear, dark amber-red color; very light head formation. Wet malt and light, smoky bacon aroma; slightly vegetal. Weird, watery bacon mouthfeel: boiled vegetables, hints of smoke; just terrible. Medium, strange smoky and vegetal and plasticy finish.

aroma was the best part of this beer, unfortunately it was all downhill from there. decent peaty, smoky nose, but over-carbonated and not a lot of flavor. thanks to Saarlander for send this in a recent trade.

(12oz bottle, thanks artusory) Clear copper body topped by small beige head. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel, cherry, light roast, bog water. Taste is sweet, caramel, light soy, burnt, brown sugar. Watery, sticky medium body
