DruncanVeasey (1612), Burbage, Leicestershire, England May 4, 2008 The Buck And Bell, Long Itchington ’08. Standard GA looks. Dip of Twiglet. Heady yeasty apple notes, a splash of citrus, SOAP, hefty hop bitterness. Mealy breakfast cereal afters (oats, wheat?). Wood and tiring almond as it warms. Cherryish alcohol aroma. ’Damn good necking juice’ according to GV, I’m not so convinced.. imdownthepub (3995), Banbury, Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire, England Apr 11, 2008 Cask conditioned at The Anchor, Birmingham. Gold with white head. Dry, bready, yeasty beer, but with a refreshing bitterness towards the end which pulls it up a few notches. Leaves with a pleasant hoppiness. It’s ok.
