Feb 13, 2008 Cask at the Smithfield Hotel in Manchester. Usual look with almost no head. Not fizzy enough but the flavour made it very drinkable for me. Another hideously pissed rate but it was nice enough indeed. I did like this. Another where I made notes to tell me this was good and I wasn’t just rating through natural beer horn.

Feb 5, 2008 Cask (gravity filled jug) @ Smithfield Hotel & Bar, Manchester M4, UK. Clear medium amber color with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate hoppy, toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. (160108)

Jan 24, 2008 A Mes rate: Cask filled jug at the Smithfield Hotel.
Standard golden brown with no head due to the jugging. Creamy caramel and toffee aroma with really nice malt. Very nutty flavour with a bit of tea and the alcohol is a little too clear. Unbrewed malt notes are not too great but a really nice finish with an excellent lingering bready note sorts things out.
