johndoughty (1580), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England Jul 15, 2006 A pleasant surprise. Golden and malty with no carbonisation.Poured with a small head and had a nice well rounded mouthfeel. Lingering aftertaste. I didn’t expect a lot from this one but really enjoyed drinking it. KingofCastle (185), London, Ontario, Canada Feb 24, 2007 Updated: Mar 10, 2007bottle: Great pale lager, don’t believe this site which has a mind boggling fear of embracing pale lagers. Has that sweet tamarind/something extra that Kalyani & Neustadt Springs Lager have in the very bottom of the bottle! Very distinct pale lager taste, crossing more into tropical lager. The wankers in love with words or strong flavours (i.e. brainwashed) , will overlook this subtlety and dismiss it. Hidden gem. Upgrade your Budweiser. LordBeamish (135), Boozetown, Ontario, Canada Feb 24, 2007 bottle: I split this with King of Castle for his 100th beer and I must agree with him.....this beer isn’t that bad and certainly doesn’t deserve to be 4th percentile. Very nice and refreshing pale lager with some interesting malt flavourings. Some spicy and somewhat unidentifiable flavourings help to make this beer distinct from other pale lagers. The rice taste is also evident and enjoyable. This one deserves more unbiased ratings. JonMoore (1547), Loughborough, Leicestershire, England Jul 20, 2006 Bottle. Golden colour with a large beady white head. Malty aroma with some hops. Interesting it looks quite highly carbonated but isn’t! Mouthfeel is a bit thin but not too bad. Reasonable malty taste with some lingering bitterness. Much better than I feared. wheatbeerboy (96), Addison, Illinois, USA Jul 7, 2002 I thought this beer was pretty good. It finishes a little dry with a slight honey taste. Not bad.
