DruncanVeasey (2690), The Penguin’s Arms, Europe, Warwickshire, England Oct 28, 2009 Tin round The Jenners. Brassy gold with a thin white layer. Vegetable, rockpool, grass and slight dog aroma. Plenty of paper and wheat beyond almost like a Leffe shandy (never tried it, never will). Paper thin, a touch sherbety, some caramel. Sort of refreshing. hughie (3016), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Jul 12, 2008 Can. Copper colour with a white head. Very faint malt aroma. Taste is metallic with a little pear drop. The merest hint of bitterness. Chilled mine for consumption after lawn mowing. Result was broadly satisfactory. jgb9348 (2492), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Mar 8, 2008 Crystal clear coloured golden body with a nice sized white head - much nicer than it’s ’special’ cousin. Aroma of fresh lemons, malt, hops and a bit of metal. Light-bodied; Funky malty flavour with no hops, sweetness or anything pleasant. Aftertaste shows metal and blandness - seriously, this one is water! Overall, definitely passable - don’t worry about picking this up, unless you really want a sub-par english beer! I sampled this 440 mL can purchased at Sainsbury’s in London (Fulham Broadway), England on 08-March-2008. imdownthepub (5089), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Jan 7, 2007 Can, 440ml, pasteurised. Gold brown with fizzed head. Metallic, toffee caramel with a dry plasticy background. Heavily carbonated with a cardboard note.Bad. Fin (3382), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Sep 12, 2006 Can. Had this courtesy of a friend whilst at Towersey Festival. Tastes a bit metallic, slightly toffeeish flavour, not great at all but then I’ve had much worse. leaparsons (4659), Leicester, Leicestershire, England Jan 28, 2006 Can. Golden with a small head. Aromas are light caramel with metal. Flavours are (again) light caramel with metal. Has too much prickly carbonation that destroys any character (which it probably lacks anyway). Very bland. Very poor. larsam (127), Southampton, Bedfordshire, England Oct 8, 2005 Golden amber with off-white head. Fruits (apple) and baking yeast in the aroma. Thin on palate. Slightly papery aftertaste. Magicdave6 (5400), London, Greater London, England Sep 22, 2005 Not to much to say however there are some hops going on in the aroma with some better than expected malt caramelk in the taste, little in the finish however increadibly eay to drink.
