Low sweet caramel with a touch of burnt toffee in the nose, muted hop notes and gentle sweet maltiness in the mouth , brief bitterness in the finish.

Not much to say - odd light yellow colour for a bitter, cheap/sweet aroma, light characterless bitterness. The taste - well, uh, sweet, slightly dry, incredibly light, slight tinny aftertaste - half-decent and more or less thirst-quenching. Nothing much to report. | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 8, 2007 This aint to bad for cheap Sainsbury’s own filth - cost me 5 quid for 8 cans, which saw me through the Portsmouth v Man United match last night and Bangla victoire over the Proteas in the cricket. A nice copper colour, a little bit of hops evident and fairly sweet. I agree with the descriptions of this being a bit watery, but what do you expect for 60p a can? This is not a beer to savour, but if you want a cheap session where you’re gonna neck 6-8 cans, this one’s the baby! Certainly better than northern brand filth like Smiths, Tetleys and Worthington. harrisoni (6829), Ashford, Kent, England

Had this courtesy of a friend whilst at Towersey Festival, even though I’ve had this before it was a bit of a blast from the past, Sainsburys have been churning this one out for years now. Some fruit on the nose, smells and tastes a little bit better than the normal stuff, still a bit metallicy but I’ve never been keen on beers in cans. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 22, 2005 Aroma is stronger than the regual parkin’s, grassy hops, though the nitro head is hard to pull to much from. Taste is also very similar with a agaoin grassy malty caramel taste with a more bitter finish. This however makes it slighty not as easy to drink, by this i mean u couldnt drink the can in one drink as easily, hehe. Nothign special but again better than expected. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 11, 2005 Can. Fruity toffee aromas. Not overly flavoursome but perfectly drinkable and unobjectionable. leaparsons (4748), Leicester, Leicestershire, England
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Feb 26, 2005 Tinny. Amber in colour with an off-white head. Aromas are caramel malts with some light berry notes. Flavours are caramel and toffee malts but without much character. Some fruitiness helps. But overall this is pretty dull.
