Commercial Description:
A well balanced, full flavored, amber ale. It has a rich, malty body with a pleasant caramel character derived from a specialty Caravienne malt. A complex hop aroma, with a hint of floral and citrus comes from a combination of Cascades and Liberty hops. It has a rich, creamy head with a fine lace. The light fruitiness, characteristic of ales, is derived from a proprietary yeast strain. Saint Arnold Amber Ale is best consumed at 50 - 55° Fahrenheit.

Thanks go to lb4lb for the bottle. Pour is a deep orangeish amber and has a small whit head that leaves decent lacing. Aroma is earthy- grass, straw and grain. Flavor is slightly bitter and has a nice caramel roastiness. A bit light in body. Very carbonated.

Bottled. Pours orangey amber, some malt and a little bit of head. Not bad.

Poured transparent light amber color, a small amount of carbonation. White head came and went away. Aroma of hops, grain, and caramel. Hits the mouth with light grainy malt, small body, some hops noticeable on the finish. Ok amber- for some reason Saint Arnold’s brews taste flat to me, even on tap.

12oz bottle from my secret Santa. Aroma: Grainy maltiness, caramel, orange, light floral hops, and a faint minty aroma. Appearance: Dark golden/amber in color and clear. Off-white head was medium and frothy with fair retention. Not much lacing. Flavor: Grainy maltiness, caramel, and toasted bread. Citrus and light pine hops with a nice floral note. Finishes dry. Palate: Medium-light bodied. Medium carbonation. Overall: Not a bad beer, but nothing exciting.

9-21-07, on tap. I believe that this particular beer was flat so my rating may not be the ideal one to read. Practically transparent amber. Malty aroma with a small hop infusion lurking beneath the heavy malt smell. Very flat on the palate. Bland and boring overall (smell and palate especially). Taste improves as it warms, but not much.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with bu11zeye (thanks!). Poured a medium and clear amber color with a smaller sized head. Aromas of floral hops, caramel, and citrus. Tastes of toasted malts, caramel, and citrus.

Really nothing too unique about this one. Pours an orangeish amber color. Smells of hops and citrus. Tastes like grapefruit and malt and hops. Pretty good but basic.

On tap at Minute Maid Park. Clear amber color with a medium light tan head. The aroma is citrus and caramel. Decent lacing on this one. The taste is a good malty and light hop. This is a great amber from Saint Arnold.
