Commercial Description:
A well balanced, full flavored, amber ale. It has a rich, malty body with a pleasant caramel character derived from a specialty Caravienne malt. A complex hop aroma, with a hint of floral and citrus comes from a combination of Cascades and Liberty hops. It has a rich, creamy head with a fine lace. The light fruitiness, characteristic of ales, is derived from a proprietary yeast strain. Saint Arnold Amber Ale is best consumed at 50 - 55° Fahrenheit.

hazy dark yellow, thin fine beige head, touch of lace, nice floral hop aroma with some carmel sweetness, light dry carmel malt flavor, well balanced with a decent amount of hops, not much character, hop bitterness grows until it takes over and it’s nothing but bitterness

Sour cherry aroma. Al little light on the amber scale in my book. Quickly dissipating white head. Lots of sweet caramel in the flavor, some fruitiness and slight citric twang. Some funk in the aftertaste. Uhh, not t0o tasty.

On tap at the Gingerman; nice dark gold color, with no head. Apricot, hoppy, fruitiness in the nose. Taste was fruity, hoppy, almost acidic, and somewhat drying. Good all around beer, but not my favorite from Saint Arnold.

Bottle from decaturstevo. Thanks my friend! Pours pale orange amber with an off white head. Aroma of caramel, cereal grains, and citrus. Initial flavor of light toasted grains that transitions to a faint bitter middle, with faint notes of fermenting pineapple. Acidic like finish, along with some toasty multi grain bread notes. Interesting beer. Not very good cold, but opens up a bit as it warms. Very bread like yeast strain...man it’s late. I don’t know what I am doing. Good night folks.

12 oz. bottle from Zinister. Pour is reddish golden. Smallish medium white head. Aroma is some malt and a little bit of hop. Taste has some sharpness to it, and finishes with a little bit of sourness. I really have liked the Saint Arnold beers, but this is one I could have passed on. Thanks again Michael!

12 oz. bottle via trade with IrishBoy - Pours a clear amber color with a one finger thick off white. Light lacing. Aroma is herbal and light citrus hops, and a tad bit of toasted malt. Decent hop/malt balance. A easy drinking amber. Light to medium body. A decent beer. Thanks Richard.

(Bottle) Pours an amber color with quite a bit of hops in the aroma. Citrus hops and a touch of caramel in the taste. Some decent malty notes in the aftertaste. Decent.

I had this beer on draft in Houston and was very pleased as I had not heard of it before. The aroma was solid with citrus and pine hops, maybe some fruit, and some caramel malt. The color was amber-gold and it was a bit cloudy with a moderate off-white head. The taste was mostly sweet, lightly sour and it had a wet body.
