Commercial Description:
A well balanced, full flavored, amber ale. It has a rich, malty body with a pleasant caramel character derived from a specialty Caravienne malt. A complex hop aroma, with a hint of floral and citrus comes from a combination of Cascades and Liberty hops. It has a rich, creamy head with a fine lace. The light fruitiness, characteristic of ales, is derived from a proprietary yeast strain. Saint Arnold Amber Ale is best consumed at 50 - 55° Fahrenheit.

03.12.06 12oz bottle thanks to Walt. Clouded golden amber with small, sticky, off-white head. Aroma is fruity and sweet with apricot and a good dose of wheaty citrus. Lighter bodied than expected, and not much malt heft to the flavor; rather sweet up front. Long lingering sweetness is eventually tempered after each swallow by a sharp citrus hop bite. Doughy, yeasty undertones throughout.

Thanks to decatursstevo for this one! Clear, deep golden color with a large rocky white head. Lighter color than most amber ales. Caramel malt aroma with a touch of earthy hops. The flavor is lightly sweet and there is balance from the hops, but they are really there to balance any excessivbe sweetness while not making a flavor or aroma statement of their own. Decent beer that drinks easily, average.

Good balanace, rich amber color, full bodied, hint of sweetness and caramel; not much of a head, but I would definitely have this again

Very good. Malty with some caramel taste. A nice sweetness without being too sweet. I drank it from a bottle, so I really did not see the color very well. I really enjoyed this one.
