Commercial Description:
A well balanced, full flavored, amber ale. It has a rich, malty body with a pleasant caramel character derived from a specialty Caravienne malt. A complex hop aroma, with a hint of floral and citrus comes from a combination of Cascades and Liberty hops. It has a rich, creamy head with a fine lace. The light fruitiness, characteristic of ales, is derived from a proprietary yeast strain. Saint Arnold Amber Ale is best consumed at 50 - 55° Fahrenheit.

12 oz bottle. medium bitterness, not much of a head. Average micro-type beer, but not as good as I expected. At least it’s from Texas.

Bottle drank at Pappadeaux’s, a new orleans style seafood restaurant in the Houston (Bush) International Airport<!-- BR --> Poured a golden color, paler than I figured an "amber" ale should be. Little head, not retentive. The nose is lightly malty, some dough and hop, but kinda light. The flavor had a decent malt accent and some sweet pine and light citrus hop mouthfeel. The finish is balanced and decent. Average amber.

Another brew on a hot frigging day. This had more hops than alot of IPA’s I have had. Nice lingering hop taste and a good brew for a hot day.

12 oz bottle: poured light yellow/orange with a very small white head. Mild sweet aroma of malt and citrus and hops. Body is lightly carbonated. Flavor is citrusy hops with a good amount of sweet malt. Finish is moderately bitter. Decent if you enjoy amber ales.

Very good, but not quite as good as the brown ale. Good hops flavor with nice spicy taste, but lacks some of the flavor layers of the brown ale. But still quite good.

Very light red. A good amber, full of flavor but with a slitghtly bitter aftertaste.

A nice smell. Much more like an APA than an amber, which I like. Hops are there throughout. Really a pleasant find at Pappadeaxs in the Houston Airport.

On tap @ Brewer: Decent sized head, white, good sized head. Aroma of malts, hops, bitter fresh, not much aroma. Clean malty taste, slight bitter.
