Commercial Description:
A well balanced, full flavored, amber ale. It has a rich, malty body with a pleasant caramel character derived from a specialty Caravienne malt. A complex hop aroma, with a hint of floral and citrus comes from a combination of Cascades and Liberty hops. It has a rich, creamy head with a fine lace. The light fruitiness, characteristic of ales, is derived from a proprietary yeast strain. Saint Arnold Amber Ale is best consumed at 50 - 55° Fahrenheit.

Spotted in the $.75 bargain bin at my local store. Pours looking like cloudy honey. No head (have yet to have a St Arnolds beer *with* a head). Aroma of citrus and floral hops, with a touch of malt. Flavor is a bit of a let down, sweet but turning bitter in a ’bad’ way. I hope to obtain a fresher sample and rerate.

Thanks Santa
Detected more of a citrus aroma than the malty aroma these usually have. Clear darker shade of gold for body color, with decent white head. Had a medium body citrus flavor to it. Cool crisp and refreshing. Good beer.

Brewery. Pours a coppery amber. Nose of flowers and citrus. Tastes of malt, caramel and a toast like flavor. A bit like a IPA, but not quite. Decent amber.

Pours a light hazy orange. Esters in the aroma. Taste is fruity hops, toasted, buttery malts. Finish has a light bitterness, but underwhelming. Slight diacetyl.

A copper colored amber ale??? Smells citrussy with some pine elements. Tastes caramelly with rosey hints. Overall pretty decent.

(Bottle) Pours a clear amber body with a small white head. Aroma of caramel and mild citrus. Flavor of mild hops and caramel. Refreshing amber.
