Commercial Description:
A well balanced, full flavored, amber ale. It has a rich, malty body with a pleasant caramel character derived from a specialty Caravienne malt. A complex hop aroma, with a hint of floral and citrus comes from a combination of Cascades and Liberty hops. It has a rich, creamy head with a fine lace. The light fruitiness, characteristic of ales, is derived from a proprietary yeast strain. Saint Arnold Amber Ale is best consumed at 50 - 55° Fahrenheit.

Thanks to Crash for bringing this back for me from his recent trip to Texas. Medium golden, clear, with a small white head that is mostly diminishing. Aroma: caramel, pine resin, apricots and sourdough bread. Caramel flavor hits you up front, followed with a mild bitterness. Finishes moderately sweet and mildly sour with a slight alcoholic warmness. Moderately carbonated, leaving your tongue slightly tingly after each sip. I liked each sip more than the previous.

Thin ass head on top af a yellow/brown head. Smells boiled celery, a bit of honey, and some rich brediness. Tastes quite nice actually. Got hints of hop bitterness, fruits, and caramel. Not much carbonation here. Goes down your throat quite nicely. NOt bad.

On tap keep your glass night @ the Flying Saucer in Fort Worth, Tx. This beer had no head, no bubbles, nothing as far as carbonation. I was really disappointed with this pour. I would love to re-sample this beer if given another chance. Two thumbs down. I looked around and saw a few people that had the same brews; those seemed to be in better shape than ours.....?

As far as beer goes, this one was rather bland, but is not as harsh as some of the other lighter ales. Aftertaste was very nondescript. Try this beer if you like light ales as it is better than most of the macro-brewed beers.

Thanks to Kevin for this one. Pours a dark golden color, fizzy white head leaves few traces. Sweet malt aroma with a few acrid hop notes. Slightly malty nose, followed by a delicate malt flavors with a backbone of bitterness. Crisp finish, laced with a grainy flavor. The mouthfeel is light, and crisp for the most part.

Slightly hazy golden orange and copper with a white head. Aroma is a sweet kristal malt with a minor toasty character. Definate malt in the flavor, a bit toasty, nice full flavor and a decent sourness and hop bitterness balance.

Shiny golden amber body, thin soapy head. Light floral and grassy hops with a slight caramel backing. Fresh, decent hop (grassy, perfumey w/ butter hints) taste, again with caramel which adds nice balance. Good overall amber.
